Art Comments: Grand Tour 2007

Here at Art Comments we are pleased to have officially started the modern day Grand Tour. Check here daily for coverage of the Venice Biennale, Art Basel 38 and more. While writing this blog entry, I'm at the press office here at the Venice Biennale, which they are closing temporarily, thus I have to make this entry extremely short. Creativity and expression has never been an exclusive commodity to any one nation or gender and that is certainly proven after touring the Venice Biennale. The scope of high-caliber art here captivates but doesn't overwhelm, this is due in part to an inherent quality that I'm seeing in most of the work: the quality of restraint.
